The most important towns in North Dalmatia are Zadar and Sibenik, but there are also other interesting towns such as Nin, Biograd and Vodice. In the area there are about 500 islands, the most famous being Pag, Ugljan, Pašman, Dugi otok, Silba, Vir, Murter, Krapanj, Iz, Zlarin, Molat… In this region there are also three national parks: Kornati, Paklenica and Krka. Many ancient towns in this region are full of Roman historical monuments. The National Park Kornati consisting of 89 islands with a beautiful coastline is a real paradise for boaters.
